Art Center on 7 New Facility Rental Fees
(effective August 2009)
Recommended fees for use of the Art Center on 7 will be developed and reviewed on an annual basis by the Art Center Manager, with input from community users.

SCENE SHOP: Use of the Scene Shop can be made available when the large auditorium is reserved for use. Contact the Art Center Manager for details.
*COMMUNITY BASED is defined as groups and organizations which serve residents of the City of Minnetonka and/or the Minnetonka School District.
RENTAL TIME is defined as the actual time reserved to set up, conduct and dismantle the program for which the Center is reserved. When reserving the areas above, a minimum four hour reservation is required by all groups.
LOBBY/GALLERY: General use of lobby space is included in the large auditorium rental fee. Requests for specialized use of these multi-use areas, (i.e. receptions, displays, etc.), must be submitted to the Art Center Manager for consideration.
EQUIPMENT USE:
Specialized Equipment
The Center is equipped with specialized video, sound, mechanical and lighting equipment designed to meet the needs of intended users of the Center.
Use of equipment provided will require certification from the Art Center Manager. Certification can be obtained by completing a training program, established by the Art Center Manager, for the equipment requested to be used.
Individuals or groups not certified to use specialized equipment can make arrangements with the Art Center Manager to provide qualified staff for equipment operation. There will be an additional cost for this service.
The following is a description of specialized equipment available for different areas of the Art Center:
Large Auditorium:

Standard Equipment
Standard equipment is provided throughout the Art Center and is available for use at no cost to users of the Art Center. This equipment includes the following:

One corded hand-held microphone
General stage lighting
One Art Center staff to provide assistance
Band Shells (set up fees additional)
Choral risers (set up fees additional)
Black Box Theater (189 seats):
One wireless hand-held microphone
General stage lighting
One Art Center staff to provide assistance

LABOR/TECHNICAL STAFF:
Lighting and sound technicians are available to assist renters and are required when specialized equipment is reserved for use. One member of the Art Center’s staff is included in the rental fee and will be available to assist renters for the duration of the reserved time. This individual will only assist with opening building and turning on sound and lighting systems. Arrangements for additional technicians or custom lighting/ sound requirements can be made through the Art Center Manager. Contact the Art Center Manager for associated costs.
